Our Therapists
Elizabeth Cristina
(She /her /hers)
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a musician, channeling my creativity and passion into my art. Today, I bring that same creativity into my work as a therapist, where I love to individualize the therapy process for each of my clients. I see therapy as a collaborative, holistic, nonjudgmental, and deeply humanistic journey. My goal is to create a safe and loving space where you can grow, heal, and reconnect with your most authentic self—especially if you’ve experienced trauma or loss.
I have extensive training in trauma treatment and specialize as a trauma therapist, utilizing approaches like EMDR, psychodrama, parts work and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). My training also includes brainspotting, motivational interviewing, expressive arts, mindfulness, and seeking safety. These tools allow me to tailor our work together to meet your unique needs and help you achieve lasting change.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Loyola University and later pursued a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. My journey from music to therapy has been shaped by a deep desire to help others find their voice and heal from their experiences.
Living in New Orleans brings me a deep sense of connection, community, and culture, and I’m proud to call this city home. I love volunteering at Jazzfest, relaxing in city park, and embracing the vibrant spirit of this incredible place. As a parent, I also understand the joys and challenges of balancing modern life, and I strive to bring that understanding and compassion into my work with clients.
